Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia
Under what circumstances can you appeal the decision in a custody case? Can you appeal to a different court / judge using the same evidence presented in the first hearing?

Judges have broad discretion in Georgia to make custody rulings that are "in the best interest of the child." If the judge has abused that discretion somehow, then you can appeal his/her decision. However, this is likely to be an uphill battle, one requiring the services of a Georgia family law attorney. I STRONGLY recommend that you consult with a family law attorney about the specifics of your custody case and your options before you do anything.
Best of luck.******The above is for informational purposes only and does not create an attorney-client privilege.********
