Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

class action law suit ?

A certain man in town has made it his way of life to hook up with a number of women, cheat on them, take their money, and have them support him for as long as he can. He is married to one, another is pregnant, and he is heavily pursuing another, all at the same time. This man has fraud and theft arrests already. Can these women file a class action law suit against this man? Can the pregnant woman take legal action to keep him from contacting her or interacting with the child?

Re: class action law suit ?

If any of the women have a legitimate claim against the man, such as one involving a his child, they can assert it themselves. A "class action" (for whatever unknown theory) is ridiculous.

Re: class action law suit ?

There is no class action case here, for reasons that are to lengthy to explain in this forum. Each of the women should contact an attorney, since each will have separate claims. However, it is not inconceivable that they could unite in a single legal action, as long as any potential conflicts of interest are dealt with. Consult with a local attorney.

Each woman can separately sue for child support. They cannot do a class action. As for custody or visitation, that would be determined separately in each case.
