Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia
would it be a conflict of interest to have contempt, custody, and child support modification in the same town, county, and court room that the respondent a deputy sheriff works for?
the judge is telling us it is not a conflict.

Since the Judge knows all relevant facts, that is opinion that matters. The next person to ask is your lawyer.

That is not a conflict, as that term is used in legal circles. However, it may be akin to the need for a change of venue in a criminal case where the local sentiment is so strong for or against a party that a fair hearing can't be held. Consult with a local attorney.
