Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia
what is considered legal abandonment in the state of Georgia. My ex- wife and I have joint custody of our 17 year old daughter. She left her with her older sister who is 20 years old to accept a job in Atlanta about 100 miles away without consulting me. Do I still have to pay her child support? Can I file abandonment charges? Can I get my daughter and have her live with me, or will that be considered kidnapping?

You cannot violate a judge's support order no matter what facts change unless you want to risk jail.
As for what you can do beyond that, you need a lawyer. No one here has read your divorce papers to know what they say, and you should be calling the lawyer who represented you to discuss options.
You have to pay child support and comply with the custody order until the judge modifies the order.
You may want to file a motion to modify custody to obtain full legal and physical custody and child support based on the change in custody.
