Contempt of Court

In my husband divorce papers his exwife was to pay sears off. We went to get a home loan and were turned down because she didnt' pay this. This is on his credit report. She was order by court to pay this, Is there anything we can do. The divorce took place 8 yrs ago we just found it out that it wasn't being paid 1 year ago. The amount we are looking at is 1200.00. We are having to pay for this to try and clear my husband credit.

If she has failed to follow a court order then there is always the possibility of contempt to force her repayment and attorneys fees.
