Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia
Contempt for failure to pay other Child Support Issues
I have filed/served contempt papers against my ex-husband for failure to meet the other child support court ordered obligations. Our court date is May 23rd, but his attorney has sent a letter to me and the court advising that she is on leave of absence on that date, and to protect her cases. What can I do at this point? Does it matter that his attorney is on vacation?

A leave of absence, if it has been granted, means the attorney is excused for that date and the hearing will be postponed. You should still attend to get the reset date unless the court sends you a reset in advance.
