Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

Coparent issues and court

Can my husbands ex take him to court because he refuses accept daily phone calls, emails, and text messages that ''appear to be concerning the children but are due to her inabilitiy to move on? She will not respect his right to privacy and his home. His children spend the entire summer and every other weekend with him during the school year. She is constantly calling and asking the children to put him on the phone and literally makes up things to discuss about the children. She feels she can never be wrong and is now threatening him to take him to court if he doesn't go to a CO-parenting counselor that she has hand picked.

My husband is always responsible when it comes to picking up his children and caring for them on his time and if truth be told, he time as well. She is very manipulative and controlling and we want to make sure that we are aware of what his rights are as another coparent. He is always cooperative with her but she doesn't like the fact that he want do everything the way she likes and wants it.

Please help.

Re: Coparent issues and court

The final decree will control. If some of these issues are not addressed, a Motion to Modify may be in order. Consult with a local attorney to discuss the entire situation.
