if there was no court recording on a rule nisi on tempory child custody and child support, is there any legal appeal recourse?

Not unless you know a way to sue yourself.

If you want to have a court recorder, you have to arrange it and pay for it. If you had a lawyer, your lawyer certainly discussed the pros and cons with you. If you represented yourself, you learned a valuable lesson as to why to get a lawyer.

Your very question shows what dangerous shape you have gotten yourself into, as temporary orders are almost never appealable, but do affect the rest of the case. You made one huge and costly mistake in not having counsel so far. Don't repeat it. Hire a good lawyer ASAP.
