Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

Custody for the Father

Father wants to know what is involved, esp financial cost in obtaining full/primary custody of 4yrs old son. Father lives in GA w/wife and new child. Homeowners both working. Mother lives in FL, and does not have time, support or means to take care of son. Son is being bounced around from 1 daycare to another that Father pays for. Father does come down to see son. Mother has sent son to father twice stated it wld be for a year then later called for son to rtn home to FL. Father is paying child support (courts not involved). When father has son, the son has stability, when son is with mother its ''whatever goes'' . How does Father begin to inquire about custody. Parents were never married. Does Father apply or inquire in his state or state of child/mother? Thank you!

Re: Custody for the Father

Based on what you have said, he probably will have to file in FL. Consult with a local attorney to go over all the facts.
