Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia
custody
I have been with my fiance for 6 year and we are fighting for custody of his 11 year old daughter. 5 items were listed of things we have to do before the next court date, this is the one I have a problem with and can't believe it is legal can you please help me. This is word for word (d) The father is currently residing at the home of his fiance. It is this Court's belief that the parties either shall be married and/or the father should have his own independent residence. The residence which the Father's chooses shall be the on the Court wishes th have evaluated for the purpose of the determining if it is a fit and proper place for the child. This child was in an abusive place and letters were written to the effect. The two attorneys worked this out our letters were never seen by the judge. This took place in Walton Co Ga. We have 3 mos to all the things listed and how can a judge tell the father he must get married.

Re: custody
Since your husband apparently has a lawyer, this is where you need to direct your question. Apparently, the judge feels that there is a problem with your husband's current living situation and wants your husband to make the changes the judge stated.
