Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia
I have a custody order in place for my 2 children with my ex-wife. One of the two children doesn't like coming to my home, but the mother is trying to make her. My ex-wife told me if I just pick up one child then she will have me arrested. We share joint custody, nothing in divorce papers says I must get both. What are my rights in the situation?

Without reading the paperwork, it's impossible to fully answer you, but generally you could pick up one child and not the other. The attorney who represented you in the custody case will be familiar with the papers and is the best one to answer you.
I don't know the ages of your children. The older one may have reached the age of having some say in visitation. To answer your question, I don't see how you could be arrested for picking up one child without the other. However, in order to avoid an altercation, I would suggest having your prior order reviewed by your attorney and deciding with legal counsel the best course of action.
