Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

Custody and Relocation issue

I have sole custody of my 16 yr old daughter. In the near future, I will be relocating to another state to take care of my parents. My daughter does not want to go because of school, friends etc. She does not get a long with her dad at all and would not want to live with him. In order to stay in Georgia, Is she allowed to live with someone other than me or her dad? What are our options? Thanks.

Re: Custody and Relocation issue

The first thing that occurs to me is to consider having someone, such as a loving relative, be appointed as her guardian. Consult with a local attorney.
