custody rights for my son

My son is seven and his father has a felony of gun possesion. He was in jail for 2 1/2 years. Now he's threatening to take me to court to grant full custody of our son. Will the judge possibly grant him full custody?I have a clean record and my son has been in my care since he's been born.

Sounds like a big bluff to me. I doubt, based on what you said, that you have anything to worry about in terms of what a judge might do. For further peace of mind, consult with a local attorney.

You don't have a legal problem. It makes no sense to react to a case that does not exist and may never exist. Should he at some point file a case, then you should see a lawyer. Until then, you may cause the case to be filed by reacting to comments that probably mean nothing, as someone who is actually seeing a lawyer to file something is usually advised not to discuss it with you.
