Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

How can I get out of my dad's custody and into my mom's? They have joint legal custody and have had it since their divorce 2 years ago. Had I been old enough, I would have chosen to live with my mom because my father is a control freak and has hit me before and I hate him and am tired of living with him.

You can't do anything until you are 18. Your mother can chose to file a case seeking custody. If she does, depending on your age, you may be asked for your opinion. A judge is not required to follow it, but, once you're 14, can consider it.
