dating underaged girl

My son's friend dated a 15 year old girl a few times, withouth the parents knowledge. They found out and he is worried they may file charges. Can they she lives in South Carolina, but he did not take her out of the state. Are there automatic violations, that could apply b/c of her age? They presumeabley did nothing sexually but could she make an accusation later? Thank you!

If they did nothing sexually, then he should be ok. If the boy is over 18 and did something sexually he could get in trouble. The best advise at this point is to not make the girl or her parents angry, and make sure he knows how old the girl is the next time he starts dating someone in high school.
