Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

How can my daughter keep her baby.

My daughter Ashley lives in Florida and has a baby by a guy there. They are not married. They split up and he went this morning and filed with the court to get temp. custody until the court date. The paperwork will be processed in 72 hours, and we are told that he can come and get the baby then. Can I go get her and bring her to Ga. to stay with me and file papers here to stop him from taking the baby.

You should direct this question to a FL attorney. I would suspect that the wording of the paperwork he got will prevail. If it does not say anything about her removing the baby, I would think that she could. Also, she might consider filing her own petition.
