Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia
My daughter is now living with me full time and visiting her mother every other weekend. She closed our child support case with Child Support Services but she doesn't want to go to court to get everything done in writing. We still have a child support order that was issued in our divorce papers that is still in affect. She has agreed that while my daughter is here that neither of us will be required to pay child support to each other. My question is, what amount of relevance does our agreement have to protect me from back child support and do I have enough of a case to proceed forward in court to have it show me as physical custodial parent and wipe out that child support order?

Neither you nor she can "agree" to violate a court order. You still owe child support for ebvery month and your "agreement" to ignore the judge is worthless. If the child is with you, it is imperative that you get an attorney, go to court, and do a proper modification of custody and support.
