Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

my daughter has been paying an attorney a little bit of money every mnth to reach the 1500 retainer. it was paid over 6 mnths ago. she needs him to file in superior court for back chid support and medical. Her daughter is seriously ill with a life threating dease. Granted she can not afford topay alot of money up fornt. But he never retuns calls supposedely has filed papaers and when I called the court to see if they had been filed they were not. It has been 15 months of no support and christy now owes the hospitol tens of thousands. she now has to leave to go to boston for experiment treatment for her daughter. by doing this she will not be able to pay her bills. we help as much as much we can but we are not rich. what can she do.
