Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia
Delinquent Child Support
I was divorced in Georgia in 1991 and now live in Pennsylvania. I have sole custody of my daughter and my ex is continuously late with child support payments. Right now, he owes me for Sept, Oct & Nov plus payments for 1/2 her orthodontist cost (he is supposed to pay all medical expenses not covered by insurance, but am lucky to get 1/2 of it from him if that). This has gone on since we've been divorced and I'm tired of it, but not sure what I can do or what state I go through to take action. He is remarried and is self employeed. Is there any way to set up through the court? Can I do this from Pennsylvania?

Re: Delinquent Child Support
You have to file a contempt action against him in the state of Georgia. Georgia has jurisdiction over this matter. Feel free to contact my office for further consultation.
