i am going through a divorce and cant afford an attorney and my spouse got custody of our child. What can i do to get my child back?

I am sad to tell you that you found out the hard way why you could not afford NOT to have a lawyer.

Realistically, a person without a lawyer in a custody battle, even with excellent preparation, is at a huge disadvantage. Do what you have to (borrow, use credit cards, call family) to get help with legal fees. If you are truly indigent contact Georgia Legal Services or Atlanta Legal Aid.
