can I get a divorce without a attorney

Yes, you can represent yourself but you will be held to the same standard as a lawyer. The judge or clerks will not give you legal advice. Once you are divorced the divorce is final, so any mistakes made would be difficult, if not impossible, to fix. I use the analogy of rebuilding the motor in your car. You can do it yourself if you know how. You can represent yourself if you know how. If you don't do a good job though you will have to live with the consequences. You need to evaluate the risk.

Possibly, and you can also remove your appendix without a doctor, but both are very foolish ideas.

You risk making costly mistakes, or even not getting divorced, and often it will cost far more for a lawyer to fix the mistakes than it would have cost to hire one yourself.
