Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

I went to divorce court and the judge in south carolina stated in the order I have to still be married another year. Is that the law?

This question was posted in the Georgia family law section. You need to repost this question in the South Carolina family law section. It is my understanding though that you must be separated for one year before a divorce can be finalized in SC.
