Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

My divorce decree ordered me to quit claim the marital home. My ex-husband then had his lawyer send me a letter giving me a date to have all my belongings out of the house. However, I have recently discovered that I overlooked a couple of things, which are still in the home. One is a record collection that I had before I was married. However, my ex-husband refuses to allow me to retrieve my belongings. He falsely claims he doesn't have them. Do I have any legal recourse to re-acquire these items?

You didn't say what your decree says. If your decree says those items are yours, you can. If the decree does not, they belong to him. You should be asking your lawyer. I assume you had one, as everyone needs one in a divorce.
