Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

Divorce delayed for over 2 years

My husband filed for a divorce in April 05-- We had a business together and he was to have day to day operations and we were court ordered to go to mediation within 6 months--Well the corporate attorney accepted a fraudulent stock transfer--I was the 100% stockholder of the company and President at the time-my husband never even signed a check on this corporation-this attorney also is the attorney for the bank where three corporate accounts were opened since 94--The attorney held a board meeting and removed me as pres. and took the stock certificate and went to the bank and removed my name from all accounts so I have no access. I have had two attorneys and discovery is still not complete-it has been delayed and there is an order from the judge that discovery that it was to be complete by 10/31/07 i have just found out that it has been extended again-my husbands side will not coooperate and my attorney will not do anything-there is an order that states all that is necessary is a conference call and the judge will have him picked up for contempt- I am on the verge of bankrupty and he has control of all assets--what can I do- the attorney has been paid 15000.00 so it is not money

Re: Divorce delayed for over 2 years

Many cases go on for months or years. No one here can second guess your lawyers based on your post. The person you need to discuss this with is your lawyer, not this board. If you don't like how the lawyer is handling it, you have the option of hiring another.
