Divorce - Domestic Violence

A friend (male) has experienced domestic violence in his marraige. He has left the home and filed for divorce. What advice can you offer regarding his claim. They were married for 7 years.

Whatever the reason for the divorce, since so much is potentially at stake, he should immediately consult with a local attorney familiar with domestic relations law. This is entirely too complex to answer in this type of forum.
