Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

divorce in georgia

I am thinking of divorce but wanting some basic insight first..I know he would have to pay me child support, but we have 3 children 10, 7 and 2 and he has been the sole supporter for the 11 years that we have been married .. would I be entitled to alimony plus child support? Also does he have to provide transportation for us or not??

Your questions are outside the scope of this forum. An attorney needs access to a great deal of information before questions like yours can be competently addressed. Your questions appear to presume that your husband and the courts will grant physical custody of your children to you. Custody to the mother is not automatically granted; therefore, legal representation is recommended whenever custody of minors is an issue. If you are contemplating divorce, you should consult with an attorney now to achieve the best possible outcome for yourself and you children.
