I am going to divorce my husband. We have no children, but are buying a home together. Can I divorce and "quit claim" the house to him?

You're buying a home together...but you're going to divorce your husband? Why are you buying a home together then? Please explain.

Also you can quit claim the house to him, but that will not absolve you from the mortgage, assuming it is in both your names.

Anyway, I'm not sure I fully understand your question, but then again I am just a lowly attorney. Maybe I lack reading comprehension skills?
