Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

I am getting a divorce from my husband of nine years, and on Nov 19 2010 we had a verbal and physical altercation in front of our two kids in the car while he was driving with the end result of myself in the emergency with a badly sprained finger. I left VA and moved back with my mother in GA. but i let our two kids stay with their father so our son can finish school in virginia for 2010 we agreed and signed a paper stating this and i will pick them up on dec 29th bring them back to georgia with me and their father will be able to get them every summer, all holidays, and whenever else he wanted them as long as it does not conflict with school, we both signed this agreement. But he did not stick to the arrangement and filed for sole custody as soon as i left and filed a motion for me not to take them out the state.I do not have money for a lawyer but i want my kids, what should i do? BTW...... i moved back to georgia not only for support of my family but also cuz my mother is sickly and i am the poa of her health and she has no one else to be here for her.

Either you get a lawyer in Virginia and defend the case or you don't and you lose your children. Those are the choices.
