Divorce and Inheritance

I really need help!

(He has been divorced 2x, my 1st, 1 am 45 he is 43)

We met in 02/01, he was retiring and moving to Ga that June.I was going to go but my Dad got very Ill. He left in July 01 and wanted nothing to do with me. My Dad died 09/02/01. (he never met my dad or any other family member to this day) My Dad left me a substantial inheritance. Soon after he contacted me to come for Thanksgiving. Grieving and lonely I went. He promised me a good life etc..I moved to Ga in Jan 02. I rec'd $'s in 12/02, he then proposed. We bought a home in March. I paid cash for the amount. (150,000.00)He paid $140.00 in closing fees. I allowed his name on deed. We married 1 month later in 4/03. It has been a year of emotional & mental crulty. He has even threatend to kill me. I want to file for divorce as I fear him, but he has told me he will get half of everything. He married me for my money no doubt. Do I have any chance at all?? He never met my Dad or family and married me under false pretenses. How can I make sure that he gets none of my families money! It is alot more detailed as you can imagine. I am just trying to give you the jist of it. Thank you for your time and consideration of my question. This is a good one!

He is bluffing when he says he will get one-half. What each of you is entitled to is an "equitable division", which will depend on all the facts. This is too complicated to discuss in this type of forum; you should consult with a local divorce attorney.
