Divorce

I live in the state of Georgia and I own a house that is only in my name, however I am married and I need to know the legal aspect of what happens in the event of a divorvce. Do my assets get divided between my wife and I or not and how do I go about obtaining legal councel regarding a divorce.

Homes bought during the marriage, regardless of whose name they are in, can be divided in a divorce. In some cases, claims also may be made against property acquired before marriage, depending on facts not in your post.
