Divorce

I married a man I did not know was still married ( he was married in Isreal). He borrowed $36000.00 from me to keep his business afloat. He now delays in paying me back. I want my moneyand a Divorce. I have little funds.

If you can prove he was still married, you likely qualify for an annulment. In raising the issue of bigamy, a crime, he is likely to be arrested, which may complicate any chance you have to recover funds. Contact my office if we can be of help to you.

You might be able to threaten him with bigamy without pursuing it. The threat may put him in a frame of mind to hasten the payback. Consult with a local attorney.

Your question does not specify how, when and under what terms the money was loaned. It will not be to your advantage to delay initiation of legal action regarding either termination of the alleged marriage or obtaining repayment. Your best solutions will come from hiring an attorney to represent you.
