Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

Divorce

I was married in 2003 for only 8 months before leaving because of horrible abuse(he is an alcoholic).We have no children together,no house,or any assetts.We have never divorced..I never even see him but I am desperate to get divorce and also get my maiden name back. What is the easiest way to go about myself through the courthouse or the newspaper?Please help. Thank you

The easiest way to get a divorce is to hire a lawyer. An uncontested matter is inexpensive. Whether the case can be done by publication depends on details you did not post for us.
