Divorce

I have been married 40 years. I want to divorce my husband.He is retired and I do not work.I want to know if I an entitled to half his income and be insured on his health plan.I am not in good health,so would need this.

As in any divorce case, who gets what depends on the totality of the facts. There is no formula such as there is in child support cases. Consult with a local attorney.

Possibly. Unless you agree on this, the amount and duration of alimony (and insurance) is up to the court. There is no percentage set by law, and half would be larger than most cases.
