Married 28 years, wife unfathful last 7.co sign equity line with her mother on mothers house in 2006 to start business. Business failing and way behind on house payments looking at forclosure. My wife and I have seperated several times in 7 years. She filed for divorce in oct 2007. I f i make her agree to accept half the debt even though she is not on credit line, credits cards is this something that I can inforce after the divorce?

Your post sounds like you are attempting to write up a side agreement that is not part of a proper divorce settlement agreement. No, they cannot be enforced.

If you instead hire a good lawyer, a properly drafted settlement agreement might (and we lack all the details) accomplish what you want to do. Step one is that you need a lawyer.
