Unless you are a lawyer, it is a crime for you to prepare divorce papers for anyone.

If he decides to do it himself, while sometimes that works, that often is a disaster. If he has children it will, with the new complex child support law, be a nightmare. Eeven if he does not, odds are the long term costs of screwing up will exceed the short term costs of a lawyer.

If a case is uncontested, the legal fees often will be several hundred dollars or less. The best thing you can do to help your fiance would be to find him/her a lawyer.
