Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia
Divorce question
My husband filed for divorce on 02/05/07, the divorce was final on 03/08/07. We used a lawyer friend of his because he was doing it for free. I have recently found out from my ex-husband that he and the secretary who was handling our divorce paperwork were having personal phone conversations (unrelated to the divorce) the whole time she was doing a paperwork. They are now public dating and have been since 3 days after the divorce was final. Where we still technically married until 03/08/07? If so is what she done unethical? Should I talk to the lawyer she works for about this? Can I take my husband back to court since he was dating the woman in the lawyer's office (confilct of interest)? If I talk to the lawyer would that be considered slandering the woman since I am repeating information straight from the horse's mouth so to speak?

Re: Divorce question
I would advise you to ASAP talk to a local attorney of your own choosing, not the original attorney. If there are grounds to attack the divorce decree, it may well be necessary to file something before April 7, 2007 (i.e., thirty days from the date of the divorce.)
