Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

divorce

about to start divorce,wife makes

2250 a month and i make 4800.her

lawyer is asking for 1100 child

supp,800 for alimony,pay second

mortgage of 275,both paid off cars

and i pay insurance/maintenance

on cars.i will also be paying 500 a

month for health.Is this possible

Anything is possible, and that is certainly not far outside of the norm, although, without detail financials for both sides, I can't comment further. You might do better (or worse).

You should have a lawyer at this point and obviously should not be talking to hers. If you have a lawyer, discuss this with him. If you don't, you need one immediately.

Sure, it's possible. Whether it is equitable under your circumstances may be another matter. Consult with a local attorney. Whenever I represent the wife, I always ask for the upper limit of what a judge will probably rule, so that I have some negotiating room. Consult with a local attorney.
