Re: Divorce
The state bar has a very good basic information consumer pamphlet on divorce. Go to http://www.gabar.org/pdf/cps/divorce.pdf.
For one child the guidelines say you should pay between 17% and 23% of your gross pay. Generally, you probably won't have to pay alimony, you will probably have to pay for health insurance, may have to pay a little for child care. You will have to divide the marital property, not sure when the cars were purchased. There are many, many factors that the Judge will consider when determining the amount you will pay and how the property will be distributed. You may have some defenses to your adultery which could be better determined by an attorney. Would advise seeking local counsel who is familiar with local court procedures and practices there in Clayton County. The court will be ever mindful of the best interest of the child and will seek to ensure that the child is taken care of, financially and emotionally.
