Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia
Divorce Woe's
My husband and I have been separated for 2 years. In that time, we've had our ups and downs. However, recently, I found out that he moved in a young woman into his home. That'd be fine if he hadn't lied and told our 2 children not to tell me either. Last week, I found out that the woman is pregnant. He, like an idiot, consulted with our 10 and 11 y.o. about this new baby. My children say they don't want anything to do with this new baby or the woman. Now, he's thrown the woman out of his house, and proclaims to want to sign over his paternal rights. Can he do this? How does that affect his wants for joint custody for our two children, if he signs over the rights of the third?

Re: Divorce Woe's
You are in serious need of a lawyer. Get one IMMEDIATELY.
A father CANNOT sign away rights to his child. He will have to pay support for the next 18 years and he is pulling a snow job on you because you don't have a lawyer.
Again, get one now.
