Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

In my divorce a year ago my husband was awarded the house. The court said they could not take me of the loan, but that may ex had to try and refinance. He did not and is not defaulting on the loan. How do I protect myself and my credit since I haven�t lived in the home for a year now? Will I have to file bankruptcy to protect myself from wage garnishment?

Hopefully you had a lawyer in your divorce. It sounds like you didn't.

You cannot protect your credit and there is no way to fix what you did.

However you now need a lawyer to address the problem. You may need to file bankruptcy and you also may need to file a contempt.
