Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

I have been divorced since 2006. In my divorce my ex husband terminated his rights to our daughter which is now 8 years old. It states " Due to the fact that the Father is surrendering any and all rights that he has to the said minor child and that the parties stipulating that it is not in the minor childs best interest to have ongoing visitation and contact with the father, due to her timid nature, fearfulness, and lack of contact between the minor child and the father, the father shall not pay child support to the mother. MyQuestion is: Is there any way to make him pay child support?

I would be shocked that any Superior Court Judge in Georgia would sign that, as regardless of visitation, children have a right to be supported. I would suggest getting what you needed at THAT time, a good lawyer (and you obviously made the mistake of not having one) and see if that decree might be modifiable.

Your case illustrates why people must always get lawyers in divorces. The failure to do so can be very costly.
