emergancy child custody

My sister-in-law is acting really erraticly(she even tried to run someone over With her car). She went back to her home(in Tennessee) telling everyone that her son died along with other outragious things. She has come after me and my ex boyfriend with a kitchen knife. Our whole family is afraid that she might harm her son if she gets him. What do we do to make sure that she can not get him at all.

First, call the police if she threatens again; in fact, I would go ahead and report the previous incident(s) just so there will be a record.

Since she lives in TN, any action against her about her son will probably have to be filed in TN. However, consult with a local attorney in GA to see if there is some way he/she can figure how to bring the action in GA.
