Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia
Emergency Custody Order Response Liberty County, GA
I have been served to appear and show cause in a temporary emergency custody order pertaining to my 2 girls who have been living with their mother in Liberty County, GA. This was in response to my notice of intent to exercise parental visitation in regard to our permanent custody order in Tarrant County, TX. I am an over the road truck driver and have been told that it will be up to my fleet coordinator's discretion as to whether they will get me to my court date from the truck, or even home to travel there. I only have about $250 that I could give a lawyer immediately, but would be willing to make any reasonable payment arrangement on the remainder of any retainer needed. I am looking everywhere despereately seeking help with this, as I feel doubtful my company will get me to my court date. I would like any advice you can give me. I miss my girls and my stomach turns at the thought of losing them again after searching for them so long after my ex fled state with them against our court orders. I just want my visitation as ordered and to have a relationship with my children!! Any help is greatly appreciated.

Re: Emergency Custody Order Response Liberty County, GA
You need to start calling family/domestic law attorneys and/or sole practitioners in Hinesville, GA to determine if anyone will be willing to work something out that will assist you. If the individual you speak with can't help you, ask if they know of any sole practitioners who recently entered practice that might be able to help you. You might also call the clerk's office in the court where the case was filed and ask them the same question. Good Luck!
