Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

entitled to monetary damages

i suffer from a bi polar disorder. i have known this for the last 5 years and am being treated for it. my ex is taking me back to court over this and is trying to have my visitation rights removed. at this point, i am not in any way in contempt of court. i find myself defending my life so i may keep my rights as a father. can i go after monetery damages with respect to being discriminated against ?

Re: entitled to monetary damages

You will need to get a medical expert to state that your condition does not affect your parental abilities and you should be OK. As far as a suit for damages, I do not see any legal cause of action to support a suit. If you can prove that your ex's suit is frivolous, you can ask the court to make her pay your attorneys fees.
