Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

My ex-boyfriend and I have a child, She is 4 years of age. She has lived with him for the last year and a half due to me being in the military, and when i came back i had no job. i now want to get my daughter back. are their any laws that prevent me from doing this. We hve never been married and he has not filed any legitimization papers.

If all this happened in Georgia you have sole legal custody. However, if you left ANYTHING out that may be incorrect, and getting the child probably will cause him to seek custody. So your first stop should be a lawyer's office, not grabbing the child.
