Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

My ex-husband is supposed to be paying child support for our daughter who by the way has special needs (DS). However, I made the mistake of having the support paid directly to me as opposed to him paying it through the courts. Five years later, he has yet to make the minimum payment. Realizing that the longer I allow him to get away with this, the worst the impact on providing our daughter with the very best foundation available . I have finally had him served, and have filed contempt through the court. However, how do get him into the legal system, where he is obligated to make the payments through the court? He doesn't keep a regular job and doesn't have his name on a lease so all the normal stuff doesn't work.

Instead of filing a contempt, all you had to do was to pay $25 to the child support office and they would have dealt with him.
