Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

What Can I Expect?

I've just filed my answer to my husband's petition for divorce. My court date is set and now I'm wondering what to expect at the hearing. Should I bring all documentation that might be needed to prove financial status, documents regarding visitation, and the like? I am representing myself, so I have no clue what to expect, or if I will get a chance to explain my requests to the Court, etc.. Could someone give me an idea of what to expect for the remainder of the proceeding? Thanks!

Re: What Can I Expect?

It's next to impossible to explain the process in this type of forum. I would strongly suggest that you at least consult with a local attorney. If you would like to call me for a phone consultation at no charge, please feel free to do so. It will probably take about a half of an hour.
