Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

Explain 96 hours

My ex-husband and I have joint custody of our child. I believe that my child is in harms ways of her father and would like to file protective order. Although, I read this part of the law about 96 hours: ''noncustodial parent must be ready to prove this clear and present danger and they are required by Georgia law to file a petition within 96 hours.'' What is the 96 hours in reference to?

Re: Explain 96 hours

Since you are dealing with the immediate safety of your child, you need a lawyer TODAY, and not a website like this. The lawyer will then handle and explain the case.
