Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia
family law - annulment/divorce
How long would take to have annulment or divorce completed? What would be the cost of such process? Can one get an annulment out or neglectness or unfaithfulness?

Re: family law - annulment/divorce
An annulment says the marriage is void from the get-go. There has to have been some sort of fraud, coercion, something that made the marriage contract void or voidable. Generally, annulment would happen soon after the marriage took place. There is no provision for neglectfullness or unfaithfulness. If the wife is pregnant, there can be no annulment.
P. S. family law - annulment/divorce
P.S. It will take at least 31 days for a divorce. Some divorces last for years, depending on a variety of factors. Some folks want a jury trial when there are complex issues.

Annulments are very rare. They only can be granted where the marriage was not legal when it happened (for reasons like bigamy).
A divorce, if uncontested, may happen in as little as 31 days. If contested it may take a few months (or longer) depending on the court and how much the parties fight.
