Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

My son is 11 yrs. old, his dad and I divorced when he was 1. I remarried when he was 3 and his dad had a live in girlfriend around the same time. Now, that I have had other children he is wanting his name changed to my husband's last name. His dad has not been a part of his life for 6-7 yrs and has not paid his child support for about just over 8 yrs. He has his own family now and does not try to call or visit our child. So, how can I go about getting his name changed and what do I need to do?

With a lawyer, you probably can get a name change done.
